Learning Online - Are You Ready?

This module provides an introduction to help you to determine your readiness to take an online course, to improve your learning strategies and styles in an online learning environment, to access available resources, and to familiarize you with online communication skills needed in order to succeed in studying online.

The information in this module has been divided into several sections. The recommended sequence is as follows:

  1. Take a self-assessment survey to know your strengths and weaknesses before taking an online course.
  2. Read about the required academic competency associated with online learning.
  3. Read about the required technical skills associated with online learning.
  4. Look for available academic resources and technical support.
  5. Read about rules and skills to interact with your instructors and peers.
  6. Read about different types of online interactions.
