Basic Statistics

A. Purpose

Throughout your college career, statistical terms will play an increasingly important role. Understanding the terms and processes of statistics are necessary for you to understand your own research and the research of other scholars.

You will find some of the statistical terms and concepts familiar because they are used in everyday life. For example, the words "mean" or "average" are probably terms that you can readily grasp and explain.
