Today the term e-Portfolio is being used to describe many things. This module was intended to help you develop your own e-portfolio which has a specific purpose, targets a specific audience and includes:
- selected evidence from coursework,
- artifacts from extra-curricular activities, and
- reflective annotations and commentary related to these experiences.
Developing an e-Portfolio is a dynamic process as your e-portfolio constantly evolves. For this reason, obtaining feedback from others is a crucial ingredient for evaluating your e-portfolio and thinking through how your message will evolve. This type of feedback is available at different levels beginning from using a simple self-evaluation rubric to working closely with professionals. Sources of feedback can include:
- Use the General e-Portfolio Evaluation Criteria to self-evaluate your site,
- Obtain feedback from friends, classmates and family,
- Work with advisors and faculty,
- Work with mentors, and
- Work with Career Services.
